The Waikato University (WU) GEMS Scholarships are designed to provide financial support to eligible students pursuing their undergraduate studies at New Zealand institutions of higher education. Funded by the New Zealand government, the scholarships are worth up to $10,000 per year and are available to students from across the world who have been awarded an or a combination of undergraduate scholarships, teaching postgraduate scholarships or research funding by their home countries. These scholarships are awarded under the New Zealand Students Act 2004 and coincide with the start of each academic year.
The studentship will be awarded worth up to Up to $10,000.
- Eligible Countries: Claimants from all over the globe
- Acceptable Course or Subjects: Bachelor degree program in any subject offered by the university
- Admissible Criteria: Applicants must be applying to enroll for the first time in an undergraduate-level program at the University of Waikato.
- The applicant needs to apply in the year of tenure, be commencing a full-time program/s of study in A and B Semester. The candidate must have demonstrated excellent academic achievement, and the potential to become global ambassadors for the University.
